Ask, Seek, Knock Prayer
The text of scripture where Jesus directs us to Ask, Seek, and Knock is encouragement to keep going. We can never give up—even when times are hard. Over the last few days, I ran across a prayer that was divinely given to me from the scripture of Matthew 7:7.
You may want to pray this prayer if you ever need God’s Word of strength to carry you.
Heavenly Father, Your word says to Ask; I ask that you would teach us your word, that we can bring it back to your remembrance and remind us of our inheritance. I pray that we come to you daily in prayer that is tied to your word.
Your word says to Seek; I am seeking after you Lord; I pray that we would seek you when things are going well and not so well. Cause us to be first-hand students of your word. Like sponges, cause us to absorb and retain your word.
Your word says to Knock; I am knocking; Lord, when the answer to our prayer does not show up in microwave fashion – encourage us to keep on praying until we receive your promise. When we ASK, SEEK, and KNOCK – you will know we have confidence in you. We thank you, believe in you, have full confidence in you. We pray Lord for any measure of doubt to fade away. In Jesus name, Amen
