A few years ago, I was in a church service and the Holy Spirit came to let me know. . . "when people read the word of God – they receive an anointing from God". Whenever we read the Bible, we receive an anointing to do whatever we have been assigned to do in life. I understand the anointing to be a sharing of God’s power. So when we read the word of God, we receive the power of God to overcome the issues of life and achieve the results God wants for us! That’s good news!

To say it another way – when we commune with God, we are covered with the anointing oil of grace. Negative thoughts and negative people cannot stick to us when we are covered in the anointing oil of grace! Pain cannot stick to us when we are covered in the anointing oil of grace! Self-pity cannot stick to us when we are covered in the anointing oil of grace! Lack cannot stick to us when we are covered in the anointing oil of grace! A downtrodden attitude cannot stick to us when we are covered in the anointing oil of grace!

The anointing gives us the power we need to succeed in life! Thank you God for giving us the opportunity to receive the anointing so we can live better lives!
