The Christmas season is already here! Many of us will be wrapping gifts and topping them with a beautiful bow. Then, we will stand back with admiration at the work we have done in wrapping each gift. We may even have thoughts about the reaction of the person when this gift is received.
God gave us a gift and he topped it with a bow. You might remember the text of Genesis 9:8-17, where God makes a covenant with all mankind. We are oftentimes reminded of that covenant. We see this bow in the clouds – it’s called a rainbow.
The rainbow is a reminder to us that God will not destroy all flesh with water ever again! So, as you are wrapping your gifts and topping them with a beautiful bow; remember God gave us a gift and he topped it with a bow. God sends us a reminder of his promise whenever we see a rainbow. Praise God for his gift of the rainbow.
