Interruptions in Life
When someone interrupts me – I am often not pleased. Usually I have in mind what I want to say or do and interruptions alter my plan. In John 8, Jesus was interrupted. As he was teaching in the temple – some men brought a woman to Him and said they caught her in the act of adultery. Can you imagine what it must have felt like to Jesus when he had to stop teaching to respond to this accusation? I also wonder if the accused woman was a wife or girlfriend to one of her accusers. At any rate, Jesus seemed to be annoyed; so he started writing in the sand.
Sometimes interruptions can save our lives or eliminate a risk of danger, like when someone yells a warning to you. Many times Jesus will rescue us by interrupting our lives. Jesus interrupts us to help us reach our destiny quickly and safely. So when God interrupts your life – thank Him! Let God know you appreciate the intervention He brought into your life. An interruption by the Holy One is to bring you and me in line with His will -- so interruptions can be good. Praise God!!
