. . . All things are possible

In Mark 9:23 Jesus says "All things are possible if you can believe." Let's take a look at that:

Mark 9:17-29 gives an account of a miraculous healing. A young man was suffering from a condition which sounds somewhat like epilepsy. The disciples tried and could not heal him . . . but when Jesus stepped in... the young man was healed!! 

Notice verse 29 says  " And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting."

What a great lesson. Jesus is letting us know all things are possible -- however, everything cannot be accomplished in the same way. Great miracles come as a result of sacrifice. Someone needs to know the blessing of sacrifice. If you always live on 'Easy Street' -- you do not have the power required to accomplish great things because your muscles have not been developed. In other words you do not have the anointing, the hunger, or all that is needed to receive all God has made available to you. 

In addition to natural understanding, we sometimes need supernatural, miracle working power! Notice, the healing was not based solely on the power of God (God is a healer). The healing was a result of the power of God coupled with the level of faith of the father requesting the healing!
