Don’t sell yourself short
In John 10:1-3 Jesus teaches about people who enter the church without coming by way of Jesus Christ. A lot of people start going to church because they like the pastor, they like the members, they like the music or the building. Many people enjoy the familial relationship the church offers. That does not mean they want a relationship with the Lord Jesus. Those people only want to come to the church and reap the benefits of church.
Some church members are fond of the way it sounds in conversation to say they are a member of a church. Many leaders come to the church in the same way. They are not called of God or bid to shepherd the Lord’s sheep. The Lamb of God does not know them as a friend.
Please don’t sell yourself short! Nothing in the world trumps being in an authentic relationship with God. No words can describe the wonderful difference the Holy Spirit will make in your everyday life. I encourage you to get to know Jesus in full pardon of your sin (ask forgiveness for your sin). Just ask Him to come into your life!
I pray that you find your place and serve diligently in the body of Christ.
Be blessed
