The 13th commandment -- love

Over my years in the church I have noticed how much jealousy lurks within the walls of God’s house. Choir members grumble over who sings a solo and who leads a song; preachers fail to nurture the gifts of others called to minister the gospel; and parishioners breathe scorn on the demonstration of gifts in other parishioners as shown during worship services.

Let us stop and be grateful unto God. The gift(s) any one of us has received is only a small portion of what God wants to share with the world. We would be foolish to want any one of our sisters or brothers to fail. You never know how God will use another person to bless you. Love one another!

34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35
