Your Work
Jesus lived in danger of persecution during most of his ministry. The religious leaders found fault with him healing people . . . even though they accused him of healing on the Sabbath. They found fault with him claiming to be the Son of God … even though he was a miracle worker. The religious leaders tried to trap Jesus by asking him questions that would bring a shadow on his character and therefore cause doubt about his ministry.
You and I have work to do. Let Jesus be our guide. Even when he was falsely accused, Jesus kept on working. When the people did not understand, Jesus kept on working. Jesus never stopped sharing the grace he was given to share with others. Whether it was teaching faith, living an honored life, or preparing the disciples to carry on the ministry . . . Jesus never stopped working until his work was complete.
Like Jesus, we are called to complete our work no matter what other people say or do. Take regular inventory of what you are called to do and what you are doing to fulfill your call in life. Your work is a life long journey.
