As we celebrate this Father’s Day – let us renew our relationship with our Heavenly Father. God still loves us and He is waiting for us to come back home. The Bible is filled with words of promise, hope, and encouragement from God. Throughout the Bible, God’s people give up their rightful position in the earth by worshipping idols . . . each time, God waits for them to return to Him in sincere repentance.

Unacceptable behavior is exposed in the sight of God. While everyone may not be privy to our sin . . . God knows. Therefore, we must acknowledge, no amount of cover up is sufficient to cover the sins of America. God has decided to use modern day technology to expose just some of the sins of our nation. The wrath of God has shown up in several ways. Repentance and a behavioral change is required from the United States. Without a doubt, we have offended God.

As we begin again with repentance and bow down at the altar before God for a time, we recognize, repentance is not an easy fix. It has taken years for America to end up in this place and it will take time for us to recover and to regain any semblance of authority in the world. However, there is no other choice. We must repent.

Nineveh repented before God and avoided destruction. America needs the same mercy after we repent.

So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.   Jonah 3:5
