In John 5 Jesus saw a man who had been sick for 38 years. Instead of assuming the man wanted healing, Jesus asked the man if he wanted to be well. When the lame man responded, Jesus knew the man would receive healing. This was a major miracle in Jesus’ time for a lame man to be healed and immediately begin to walk. That would be a major miracle in today’s time as well!
Our sickness is not always physical or apparent to the naked eye. Sometimes, there are issues in life to be healed. If Jesus were to ask you why you are still dealing with an unpleasant situation, how would you answer? When we answer out loud, we are forced to own our answers and the decisions we make. Like the man at the pool of Bethesda, we can say what’s been happening to us, we can say what we want or we can remain silent.
This passage of scripture demonstrates to us how God is often willing to change some things we have dealt with for a long time. Never limit God. Believe God to change some things you never dreamed would change.
Be blessed
