Sometimes love hurts
When God sent his son – it hurt
When God gave his son on the cross – it hurt
When each one of us was born into the world
And our mothers were in labor – God was in the midst of the pain
Sometimes love hurts
Our lives follow the pattern God laid out:
When our children are released into the world to find their own way – it hurts
Whenever we lose a loved one to death on this side – it hurts
Down thru generations, every time a mother births a child into the world . . . pain is present – it hurts
