The glory of God can be thought of as the presence of God made evident in the earth. The Glory of God is attracted to praise and worship! The Glory can be seen but its not always seen. The Glory of God can often be felt. Certainly, the results of the Glory of God is hard evidence of the presence of God.
As Christians we believe God is present in all places at all times. The fact that we are alive is evidence of the presence of God. Yet, that is not enough for God. Many times God wants to make his presence known in other tangible ways as he did with the children of Israel and throughout Jesus’ life. The Glory of God was seen as the Children of Israel were on their journey to the promised land . . . in a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night.(Exo 13:21) When Paul and Silas sang praises unto God in prison – the Glory showed up (Acts 16). Whenever Jesus healed all manner of sickness and disease – the Glory of God was present.
When God wants to get the attention of his people – don’t be surprised to see a Glory cloud or other evidence of the presence of God. Like with the Children of Israel – a Glory cloud is a thick mist or Cloudy substance in a place where you would not otherwise expect a cloud to form.
When the Glory of God shows up anything can happen. That is why the Bible often reminds people not to be afraid. When Paul and Silas praised God in prison there was an earthquake and their chains fell off. When the people prayed for Peter he was miraculously released from jail (Acts 12). When people break out in praise and worship today – oftentimes the Glory shows up – healing sickness and disease. When God makes his presence known it is always to remind his people of his presence with them.
I praise God for his presence in the midst of his people! I praise God for his miracle working power! As you enter into worship unto the Almighty – there is no limit to what God can do for you. I pray for you to enter into worship unto the Almighty!! There is no failure in God!!
