Are you talking to a donkey?

Numbers 22 gives an account of a conversation between Balaam and a talking donkey! As it was, King Balak hired Balaam to curse Israel because Israel’s population was increasing. King Balak wanted to have Israel cursed so he could drive them out of his neighborhood.

Many accounts in the Bible remind me of situations today. The only difference is time and place. Israel was blessed by God and they were taking over positions other people previously controlled. Oftentimes rivalry develops when a group of people are afraid to lose their position in society.

God is telling us “Don’t be afraid.” Don’t be afraid when God blesses you. Don’t be afraid when people are jealous and try to hurt you. Don’t be afraid. God will defend and protect you with his righteousness!

Remember, Don’t be afraid!

How shall I curse those whom God has not cursed? Or how can I [violently] denounce those the Lord has not denounced? Num 22:8 Amplified
