Be Who God Created You To Be

In the book of Genesis chapter 6 God gives Noah instruction to build an ark.  God told Noah:

(1)to build an ark

(2)Take all living flesh into the ark

(3) take food into the ark

 (4) take his household into the ark

When Noah was instructed to do these things – he could have questioned God or even walked away in unbelief.  When you hear the voice of God or know what you should do in obedience to God -- how do you move forward?  Do you follow God’s instruction or do you choose another way with your own mind?

Something I have learned during my time as a Christian is that God doesn’t want to just bless one person at a time. God’s plan for blessing one person usually involves blessing other people. In the same way, when you decide to walk in disobedience – you don’t walk in disobedience alone. Your disobedience affects the lives of other people. The people most affected are family members but it does not stop there. Our decisions have major impact on other people who care about us including people who watch us from afar.

We know the story ends with Noah’s obedience. His courage to follow God’s instruction preserved humanity. Noah would have never known what to do if he had not communed with God. You will never know why you were born if you never communicate with God. Noah’s blessing was announced when he was born. You may not know it but your blessing was also announced when you were born. For every person born into the world -- God has a plan. The plan for your life was known in the Heavens when you were born!  Seek after God so you too can be all God created you to be.
