In Mark 9:1, Jesus tells the crowd: some of you will see the kingdom of God without experiencing death. In verse 2 Jesus displayed his Spiritual body in the presence of Peter, James, and John. Truly the Kingdom of God was experienced when those 3 disciples witnessed Jesus in conversation with Elijah and Moses!
Peter was so excited…he wanted to build a house for each one of them.
Now we know a physical house could not contain the presence of Jesus. Neither could a physical house contain the meaning of the lives of Moses or Elijah. Understandably, Peter wanted to capture that moment in time.
Just as Jesus led the disciples from that mountaintop experience…we too must move on with our lives after a miracle occurs. We cannot remain in the same place. Whenever you want to set up camp in a place when you should move on…remember this verse of scripture.
The rest of your life is waiting for you!
If you try to stay in the presence of 1 miraculous event… you would miss the next miracle. You may be surprised to know God has many more miracles waiting just for you!!!
