When your people find out
Genesis 43-45 teaches us the blessing of obedience! It is the story of Joseph’s success and not revenge. After being grossly mistreated by his siblings for most of his life – Joseph had the opportunity to get even with them -- once and for all. He could have caused his brothers to starve to death, he could have imprisoned them, or he could have used them as his slaves. Surprisingly, Joseph decided to share his blessings with his family as He recognized God’s hand throughout his life.
Think for a moment. Do you have family members who have mistreated you for no reason – except dreaming? When you see yourself in a place none of your family members have experienced … it may threaten them and ruin your relationship. Be encouraged. Don’t stop moving in God’s plan for you. Whatever gift you have – use it. Whatever talent God has bestowed upon you – share it with others. God will soon show up for you as he did for Joseph.
All of us may not respond to our families as Joseph did towards his family, when our people find out. Yet, one thing is for sure; if you keep believing the promise of God and continue to move in that direction…the promises of God will come to pass in your life! In Jesus name!
