The year 2020 has shown itself to be a revealer of many things that have been swept under the rug for years and years. The racism in our nation has floated to the surface. We will soon be forced to deal with that issue. We have also learned how many major ministers in our country feel about minorities.
People often say one thing while intentions and beliefs disagree with their words. Luke 12:2 tells us there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed and nothing hidden that shall not be known.
When I first noticed that scripture I was amazed because it let’s us know our secret motives, thoughts, and intentions are only hidden for a while. What would we do different if we acknowledged our true feelings and dealt with them?
As we go into the last few months of 2020 let’s challenge ourselves to honesty. Since everything will be revealed in time, let’s work to have our words and actions agree with God. By so doing, we will erase the fear and disappointment of having the truth revealed.
