In today’s world, we have become almost too comfortable with prayer. Even though God receives our prayers in many ways, it helps to know Christian traditions were established upon great understanding and models of faith. I believe we would behave differently and handle our walk with God more carefully if we knew and understood the basis for our Christian practices and traditions.
The meaning and significance of praying hands touched my heart and warmed my soul. As I was in the midst of worship some years ago – the Holy Spirit began to teach me about praying hands. When we place our hands together as we bow down in prayer to God – those praying hands signify the Spirit of God and human flesh coming together as one. One side natural and one side Spirit . . . meeting in the middle (between the hands) as one. Praying hands are also symbolic of our natural mind, body, and spirit, coming together as one, as we go to God in prayer.
We encounter God when we are focused on God in prayer. I encourage you to enter into prayer with praying hands. When the Spirit of God comes in touch with a man’s spirit — that is when miracles occur!
Be blessed
