Genesis 12:1 Amp Classic
12 Now [in Haran] the Lord said to Abram, Go for yourself [for your own advantage] away from your country, from your relatives and your father’s house, to the land that I will show you.
God directed Abram to leave his hometown, family, and friends – for his own benefit. We know the story of Abraham & Sarah and how they were blessed after leaving their hometown.
Sometimes God directs us to leave a place or to separate from certain people so he can bless us.
Not because he is being mean or wants to ostracize us for no reason.
Not to make us feel rejected, different, or awkward – but because he knows his plan requires us to be separated from some people.
God knows where you are going requires you to be surrounded by some different people.
Where you are going is not conducive to your previous or present friends, family, or acquaintances.
Where you are going is different from where you are now – and God is preparing you for your future – not your past.
Bottom line is God is getting you ready for your blessed place!
Whenever God moves us or separates us – He always has a plan of good and not of evil to give us a future and a hope.
We thank God for the good life he has planned for each one of us!
