Who is in your circle?

When Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed – God spared Lot’s life because of Lot’s relationship with Abraham! Read it for yourself:

And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt. Genesis 19:29

How refreshing is it to know you can be blessed because of your relationship with someone who is in a strong relationship with the Lord?  That’s the only requirement!

Even though Lot was a citizen of the area marked for destruction – God sent angels to protect Lot and his family from destruction. They were not protected because Lot was the president or some high-level politician. Lot and his family were not protected because they were wealthy or untouchable by human standards. Lot and his family were protected because God remembered Abraham. Abraham was Lot’s uncle and Abraham walked with the Lord.

As you go about life – think about the people in your circle. Are you in relationship with other people who have a strong relationship with God? How do your connections view you? Are you in a strong relationship with God? The door is open to everyone. If your relationship with God is not what you want it to be – you can change that relationship at any time. Getting to know God on a personal basis will change your life. When you are the one in right relationship with God – having family, friends, and associates who also know God personally is an extra blessing!
