Moving

I have moved quite a few times in my lifetime. From house to house and sometimes across state lines. When I moved – I was always careful to keep the children safe and out of the way when the movers were working.  As parents, whenever we are doing yard work or cooking on the grill outside – we make sure the children are moved a safe distance away.  We do not want them to be hurt by yard debris or fire from the grill.

In the Bible, we witness people moving numerous times.  Abraham moved from his hometown. Noah and his family left all of humanity behind. The angels arranged a move for Lot and his family before Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed. Moving has been a turning point in the lives of people from the beginning of time.

When God orders a move it is to put you on a path to fulfill his promise and/or for your protection. So don’t be afraid to move when God says move. Even though the move may be difficult – God can see what we cannot see and he knows what we do not know. Trust God to lead and you will be blessed in following the plan of God!
