Your House of Worship!
As we have been in our places of residence for about 2 months now, God has given us time to think. What have you been thinking about? This is something to consider: The time has come for men and women to become the ministers in their own home. Truth is, we were never to give up that position. Cultural sin led us to dissonance, confusion, and overcast memories of the days of Godliness in our houses of worship. That is what each household is called to be . . . a house of worship. God was pleased with Abraham because of how he governed his household. How we govern our households is important because it reflects on our relationship with God. Our relationship with God shows up in our society, as our society is composed of individuals in our communities – all over the nation.
Abraham was blessed because he led his household in ways that pleased God. Abraham led his household in a righteous way before the 10 Commandments were written. Now, we live in a time when God has shared his plan for living with us in many different ways in the Bible. We have no excuse for living outside of the plan of God. The big deal is, when our lives please God we are in position to be blessed. Do you want to live a blessed life?
18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? 19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him. Genesis 18:18-19
