Ask for help
In John 14:16, Jesus says the Comforter will be with us. What a blessing it is to know The Holy Spirit is known as the Comforter! When you think of “comfort” – thoughts of peace, rest, love, and care come to mind. Why would God want us to have a comforter? I believe God already knew what a struggle life would be for us. As we are confronted with ideas and practices that directly oppose the teachings of God -- we are involved in an ensuing battle on a regular basis. The Comforter encourages us in the battles of life. Scripture describes The Comforter/Holy Spirit as the Spirit of Truth (v 17). The Comforter will teach you all things and cause you to remember God’s word (v26).
The Comforter is the Holy Spirit and our Helper. Oftentimes, I feel challenged as I move to live a Christian life each day. The opposition works hard to make wrong seem right & get us to question the will of God. Remember Adam and Eve! There is no new thing under the sun. Thank God for the help of the Holy Spirit.
I’m reminded today of the help available to us all. Please don’t neglect yourself and the Holy Spirit. Ask for what you need. When we ask for help the Holy Spirit gets the opportunity to help us. No request is too small. Let’s ask God for help and witness the blessing of the Comforter! We all need a little help sometimes!
Be blessed
