Mark 6
In Mark 6:34-35 Jesus makes it priority to teach the people. It appeared they did not have anyone to take care of them or to help them take care of themselves. They were wandering around -- lost and confused. When we consider God as our shepherd – we trust him to watch over us, protect us, and guide us throughout life. Do you have God as your shepherd?
All homes need the shepherd to bring them together under the same roof and teach them how to love one another as family. Our country needs the shepherd to teach us how to respect one another as human beings created by God. Our world needs a shepherd to teach us how to respect cultural differences and appreciate one another’s similarities and differences.
Without a shepherd we all follow our own selfish desires and discount the value of other people. The truth is . . . we are all made in the image of God. Even though we may have different parents – God causes and allows the reproduction process to occur. Many people today think they have a right to make their own decisions without answering to anyone. While we may exercise that option – the greater good is swallowed up in defeat. We all suffer at the hands of one another because none of us has a plan that works better than the plan God left for us in his Holy Word. When we stop and recognize the fact that God created the master plan for our lives and coexistence, we can begin to build one another up rather than destroying ourselves and others.
Be blessed with the hand of God!
