Your scars are not an embarrassment. They are proof that God brought you through. Jesus presented his nail scarred hands and side as proof of his identity to the disciples. Jesus was not ashamed of his scars and the disciples were glad to see proof that he was the same Jesus who was nailed to the cross! Jesus allowed them to see the marks of affliction and violence against him while he stood as our risen Savior.
When you can show your scars and go on with life – it means God saw you through your trials. It means you made it out on the other side. When you show your scars after God has raised you up – it is proof that God provided for you in the midst of a trial. He knew all along you would not only survive but thrive & live out the thing he called you to do in this life!
When God brings you out of a situation – be not ashamed but grateful. Grateful to God for his loving kindness and patience. Grateful to God for bringing you through. Wherever you are – continue to spend time with God. Continue to believe in God. Trust the process! God has not forgotten about you. He will see you through whatever struggle, trial of life, or transgression you may be going through. Don’t give up! God is with you and he will lead you into brighter days!
