Many people today view our turbulent times as the Bible playing out in real life. For those people their mode of operation is ‘stand aside’. The perspective is there is nothing we can do but allow Bible prophecy to unfold. Stand aside. The understanding is, “It does not matter what we do. The world is soon to be destroyed – stand aside.”
Consider the fact that we are all called to pray and seek God’s face. Acts 2:16-21 says:
16 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
17 ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,
That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions,
Your old men shall dream dreams.
18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days;
And they shall prophesy.
19 I will show wonders in heaven above
And signs in the earth beneath:
Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.
21 And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the Lord
Shall be saved.’
Based on this text God has more to say about what is written in his word. God wants to communicate with his church in these last days. We may want to stand aside – instead how about pray fervently? When we pray, God will respond and answer our prayers.
Don’t just look at the situations of life and decide to get through the best way you know how.
Pray for protection from evil
Pray for covering for you, your family, your loved ones
Pray for guidance in your daily life
Be Blessed!
