Say Something

Its been a while since I planned a party. Yet, I remember putting together the list of people to be invited. Thinking about the upcoming celebration brings joy to the soul – until I remember someone I forgot to invite. That is a terrible feeling! Imagine forgetting to invite someone you care about deeply but for whatever reason you did not think to include them on the guest list. That has happened in my family a few times.

In Mark 4:36-38 Jesus is on the boat sleeping. He was tired from a hard day’s work. Meanwhile, the disciples were caught in the midst of a storm. They may not have wanted to disturb Jesus while they worried about their situation.

I believe Jesus was waiting for an invitation. When we invite Jesus in…God knows we will receive his help! I mentioned how bad it feels to forget to send an invitation to someone you care about. While some people may believe they don’t need to do anything. The Holy Spirit does not force his way into our lives. When we need help, God waits for us to invite him into our situation. If you need help today – invite God into your situation. Say something – ask for what you need! He is waiting to hear from you!
